2 Blogs

The way I view blogs is that, they could be very universal. As been known, blogs come in very types of shapes and forms, professional blogs, casual, and personal. But one thing I've noticed is that, professional blogs are almost like reading Your average text. With professional blogs, You need to include evidences, references, citations, hyperlinks, images, checking grammar, etc. But with personal vlogs, You don't have to do half of the things listed. You could make a spelling error, or slangs, words that only certain people could understand, and call it day. So the way I see it is, personal blogs are blogs, but professional blogs are like an essay.

One of the bogs that I read that caught my attention was the TMZ blog. Now I've always been a TMZ fan because of the hiphop news mainly. But one of their blogs that I just read that I personally liked was about Travis Scott trespassing charges dropped in Miami Beach. I liked this post because this news is very new to me, a couple days ago I was just watching the arrest video of Travis Scott , and now I learned his charges have been dropped. The way the blog is organized is very straight forward, they get right to the point/news. The way it's formatted is that they go into detail, they add images, and hyperlinks to it. They did it so it would be easy and fast for someone who's reading it to find the news without reading the whole blog. the author's purpose of the blog is to be informative and straightforward about the news to Travis Scott fans. The purpose influences the author to format it in a way where You get all the details by checking all of these hyperlinks and images in a fast way.

One of the blogs that I didn't really like was the California man pleads guilty to defrauding cares act program and commercial lenders.  I didn't like it because first of all, the news wasn't really entertaining, and it also didn't even include any images or videos of the California man at all. At least the way it's organized is that it also gets straight into the point, and it does not include chunks and chunks of unwanted information.  Now the way it's formatted is really boring/bad, it does not have any hyperlinks, images, or videos. It seems it's formatted like that because it's considered a professional blog which means its going to have less images, more words. The Author's purpose was to also only be informative/professional which brings us to the influence of why the author formatted it the way he did. He did it this way to only be informative and not include a single image, or hyperlinks because there's no need for this type of news, the person is not a celebrity or someone known to have videos or images in this news blog.

  1. Your practice entry looks good and has a clear layout and organization. Don't forget to include citation/image source information for any images. Also, you need a "sign off" that gives the post a sense of closure and completion.
