Entry #10 Teach the youth's future

I have a huge problem with how the school is designed. 12 Years of learning the same concepts except harder by each year. 12 Years of learning stuff that you never will need or use in life. 12 Years of learning nothing of the real world. And then after 12 years you are thrown into the real world and are expected to know what you want to do for the rest of your life when you have no idea. The school system needs to start teaching kids about all of the types of jobs/careers they can pursue to help them have an idea.

These quizzes that schools provide where students take it and it's supposed to help determine their future aren't going to cut it. These quizzes are never accurate and they don't help out. According to a survey by YouScience, 30% of students that graduate from high school don't know what they want to do. We need schools that provide classes specifically about careers that gives great job description about all of the jobs out there. That way young students could have a lot of time of them just learning about all of the careers they could get. And that will help them in determining the job that fits their passion earlier on instead of them not having an idea about how a lot of jobs operate later on.

Instead of having unnecessary classes, we could have a really beneficial one. A class that teaches students about the real world where they eventually will end up in. We need a class that talks about the description of every single job an individual could get. That way it will help make the school system more better and efficient at helping kids become successful. Not to mention it would help decrease the amount of high school graduates not wanting to go to college.

  1. His Musaab, I totally agree with this. I definitely think we should focus more on the strong suits of the children and teach them what they really wat to pursure in life. I think this way we can have more people actually doing what they want and coming out of highschool prepared and ready. --Camron Diaz
